Not too small on the wrist, gets the job done
I originally bought the Timex Women's Easy Reader 25mm Watch, and it was TINY on my wrist. This watch fits perfectly on my medium sized wrist. It doesn't slide around but also didn't leave marks in my skin. The look is not my favorite but it's not bad. Perfectly appropriate for work and durable enough that I'm not afraid to wear it on the weekends. I really wanted a gold and silver tone watch with a stretchy band, easy to read numbers, and a date display, that also was still somewhat feminine on my wrist. This watch hit all of those requirements. I'm in my 40s and the look of this watch reminds me of my granny in the late 80s, which I'm not mad about at all! Now I just gotta find one of those beaded eyeglass holders for my recently necessary reading glasses!
Easy Reader except for ridiculously small date
I bought this watch to replace my beloved 20 year old easy reader in the same basic style. My old one was still working perfectly — Timex is a fantastically durable brand — but it had gotten really beaten up from daily wear. It’s a classic and I am delighted to have something similar, although I didn’t really want the date on there but that is the only model Timex seems to make these days. However when I received it I was stunned: the date on the “easy reader“ is unreadable. It is so tiny in fact that I had to take photos with my phone and enlarge them in order to even set the date. I will never be able to read it because it’s far too small. It’s truly ridiculous and cannot even be seen with a pair of 1.5 magnification reading glasses. Timex either needs to redesign this with a date that is actually readable or go back to the old school model and give us back the digit three instead of an unreadable date. If what you are looking for is the time, it’s great. If you need a watch with a date look elsewhere.
This is the best
I have had this watch for years, and it is still working great. I love the simple band (and btw, children around the ages of 3-5, who have perhaps never seen an analog watch, always ask me if they can play with it--which is fine! They find everything from the hinges in the band, to the light, to the fact that they can change the time themselves, fascinating. Keeps them entertained a bit.) I recently bought another one, just in case this one ever wears out.
love the watch, battery doesn't last
I first bought this watch from Walmart (not where I'd shop for watches haha but I needed something inexpensive for work), I ended up really loving this watch and so bought another pair on amazon to keep "clean" for dressier days. This watch actually looks expensive enough to wear to client meetings.
The battery on my second pair didn't last a full year and the strap on my first pair (that I wear every single day) is all cracked and worn to nearly shreds. HOWEVER, at $35 I'm buying another pair, I love this watch so much. Wish I could just replace the strap but it's not removable. Also buying extra batteries (CR1216) for $7 for a pack of 10. Still a good deal although wasteful. The watch face is very small but this is why I love it. I have very skinny wrists and this watch is the most size appropriate for me. The design of it goes with very casual and sporty outfits but also looks great with a suit or a little black dress.
Adequate watch
Easy to read the time. Strap a little stiff. I have a small wrist so I had to cut off the end a little so it wouldn’t stick out. It replaced a large more expensive bracelet watch. I wanted to go simpler and smaller without going to those apple type watches. I don’t need to count my steps, etc. I have enough technical devices in my life.
A tough little guy
I'm hard on watches - or I should say my dogs and I are hard on watches, but this watch is really hardy and a great price. Interesting to me, there is another watch by the same company that looks almost the same but has a much smaller band. Easy to confuse the two. I was wearing the other but it was tight. I 'm so much happier with this one because I don't have to worry about it pinching. I love that you can light it up in the dark to see the time. The date is too small to see, for me anyway.
